The people of southern Lebanon are eager to return to their villages today after being forced to leave their homes when the Israeli war on Lebanon began on March 2.

While the Pakistani Prime Minister stated that the agreement between the United States and Iran covers Lebanon and all other fronts, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied this, emphasizing that the agreement does not apply to Lebanon. This statement coincided with the resumption of Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

Since this morning, the Civil Defense at the Islamic Health Authority and the ambulance teams of the Islamic Risala Scout Association have repeatedly urged citizens not to head south, while awaiting an official Lebanese statement on the cessation of the war. Meanwhile, Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory, particularly in the south, continue.

The Electronic Communication Authority of the Amal Movement also circulated an appeal to displaced people, saying, “It is advisable to remain in safe locations until an official announcement of a ceasefire covering Lebanon is issued.”

Similarly, the municipality of Kfar Reman in the Nabatieh district asked residents not to go to the town, “for your safety, while awaiting an official statement.”

Our colleague Ahmad Montash observed normal traffic movement from Beirut toward Saida and the south so far, while some families packed their belongings into their cars in anticipation of returning to their villages.

Earlier, an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle in the town of Qana, causing injuries.

An Israeli airstrike near the Al-Qlailah junction hit an ambulance belonging to the Islamic Health Authority, resulting in casualties.

Israeli warplanes also attacked the Rayhan area in the Jezzine district, while artillery fire targeted the Al-Haniyah and Al-Mansouri areas in the Tyre region.
