Marco Rubio: U.S. sees finish line in Iran war as strikes enter second month
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed today, Wednesday, that "Washington sees the finish line in the war with Iran, which has entered its fifth week."
In an interview with Fox News, Rubio said: "Iran is weaker than it has ever been in the last 47 years, and the United States will remain open to dialogue but will not relent."
He continued that "all our mission objectives in Iran are being achieved, and Iran must abandon its pursuit of nuclear weapons," noting that "any assistance from any country to Iran will not hinder our mission in any way."
Iran's economy is collapsing and its people lack drinking water.

Yet the regime funnels every resource into building missiles that can hit Paris and London while sponsoring global terrorism.

Rubio noted that "there is a possibility of holding a direct meeting with the Iranians at some point," emphasizing that "the end of the war is not today or tomorrow, but it is inevitable, and the finish line regarding the Iran War can be seen.”
He added that "we will have to reassess our relationship with NATO after the Iran War," noting that "we will have news regarding Cuba soon, we are working on it.”
Earlier, Rubio said: "The American strike represented our last opportunity to eliminate the conventional threat posed by Iran," pointing out that "Tehran’s possession of this arsenal was protecting its nuclear ambitions and posed an unacceptable risk."
He added that "Iran was on the verge of possessing a large number of missiles and drones, sufficient to prevent interference with its nuclear program, and it rejected all opportunities for a peaceful nuclear program.”
Rubio pointed out that "Iranian nuclear facilities were built in the mountains, and the technology used was designed to allow a rapid shift towards producing nuclear weapons, prompting the United States to take preemptive military action."
He continued: "Our goal is to destroy Iran’s nuclear and missile arsenal."
The American‑Israeli strikes on Iran continue as the war enters its second month amid diplomatic attempts to stop the war.
