Pezeshkian: Iran stands firm against Israel and the US
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced on Saturday that Iran will not surrender to Israel and the United States, as the war entered its second week.
In a speech broadcast on state television, he said that “the enemies will take their dream of the Iranian people’s surrender with them to the grave.”

He also confirmed that the temporary leadership council approved suspending attacks on neighboring countries, provided that no attack is launched from them against Iran.
This comes as Iran continues to carry out attacks in the region in response to the US Israeli strikes.
The website Axios quoted an informed source as saying that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a series of calls with Arab foreign ministers on Thursday, during which he explained that the war is expected to continue for several more weeks.
He stressed that Washington’s goal is not “regime change,” but at the same time he indicated that the United States would like to see “different people” running the country.
The US official also confirmed that there is currently no dialogue with Tehran, considering that any talks at the present time could undermine the military objectives.
