Qatar announces Football Festival 2026 with Spain-Argentina Finalissima at Lusail
The local organizing committee for football events has announced the Qatar Football Festival 2026, which will take place from March 26 to 31. The festival will feature the Finalissima Cup 2026, along with a series of international matches bringing together elite national teams as part of their preparations for the World Cup.

The match will be held at the iconic Lusail Stadium on March 27, where European champions Spain will face South American champions Argentina in a highly anticipated showdown between the continental title holders.

March 26: Qatar vs. Serbia — Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium
March 30: Egypt vs. Spain — Lusail Stadium

Match tickets
Exclusive travel packages for fans traveling from outside Qatar will be offered in collaboration with Visit Qatar and Qatar Airways starting February 1, 2026. The packages will include travel, accommodation, and match tickets. General ticket sales will begin on the Road to Qatar website (roadtoqatar.qa) on February 25, 2026.
In this context, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, chairman of the local organizing committee, said: “Qatar continues to strengthen its position as a global hub for football and is preparing to host some of the world’s biggest stars ahead of the next World Cup.”
He added: “Hosting the Qatar Football Festival reflects the country’s commitment to delivering world-class sporting experiences and confirms its status as a trusted partner on the global football stage. We look forward to welcoming players and fans from around the world.”
Lusail Stadium holds a special place in modern football history, having hosted landmark moments during major tournaments, including the Qatar 2022 World Cup final and the most recent Asian Cup final, where Qatar’s national team lifted the trophy.
The stadium continues to cement its status as one of world football’s most iconic venues and a destination for creating new historic moments.
