The name “Pickaxe Mountain” has recently emerged as one of the most mysterious and concerning Iranian nuclear sites, with reports suggesting it is a heavily fortified facility located deep underground near the Natanz nuclear facility.

This site, believed to be constructed within a granite mountain, is designed to withstand conventional airstrikes, including those using the most powerful bunker-busting bombs.

According to expert estimates, the facility is located at a significantly greater depth than the well-known Fordow facility, making it extremely difficult and possibly beyond the capability of current U.S. military strikes to target. This exceptional level of fortification is seen as an Iranian effort to secure its nuclear program against any potential escalation.
