Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed on Sunday his country’s adherence to its nuclear rights, emphasizing that “U.S. President Donald Trump has no right to deprive the Iranian people of these rights.”

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was reported by the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA) as saying that U.S. President Donald Trump “has no justification for preventing Iran from exercising its rights,” adding: “Who is he to deny a country its rights?”

He noted that Iran “does not intend to attack any country but exercises its legal and legitimate right to self-defense,” affirming that “Iran does not seek to expand the circle of war, nor has it started any wars or conflicts or attacked any country.”

Pezeshkian stressed that Tehran’s position “is based on maintaining peace, stability, and security in the region,” considering that “the enemy failed to achieve its goals and violated international laws by targeting infrastructure, schools, and hospitals.”

In conclusion, he pointed out that statements about “destroying Iran’s civilization and returning it to the Stone Age” reflect the intentions and objectives of the aggressors.
