On Saturday, the U.S. military announced that the blockade imposed on Iranian ports has completely halted maritime trade to and from Iran.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on the platform X that the guided-missile destroyer USS Pinckney is patrolling territorial waters to support blockade operations.

It added that the blockade has led to the complete cessation of maritime trade to and from Iran.

The United States has been tightening its blockade of Iranian ports for days, following the failure of the first round of negotiations between the two sides in Islamabad.
