Trump deletes AI “Christ-like” image after backlash
US President Donald Trump on Monday deleted an AI-generated image of himself in which he compared himself to Jesus Christ.
The image sparked widespread anger among his conservative base and within Christian communities in the United States across different denominations.
In the image, Trump is seen healing a dying patient without any accompanying comment being posted.
Trump appears in the image with light emanating from his left hand while placing his right hand on the patient, surrounded by soldiers and military aircraft. The American eagle and the Statue of Liberty also appear in the background of the image.
US media reported that the image angered Trump supporters, including both evangelicals and Catholics, and it was described as blasphemous.

In addition, Trump explained the reason for posting the image, saying that he thought it showed him as a doctor.
He told reporters at the White House on Monday: “I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor and had to do Red Cross.”
He added that only “fake news” could come up with the idea that it depicted him in the form of Christ.
He concluded: “I just heard about it, and I wondered: how did they come up with this idea? It’s supposed to be me as a doctor, making people better. And I do make people better. I make people a lot better.”
