There is intensive drone surveillance, especially over the western neighborhoods of Bint Jbeil where the city stadium is located, which the Israeli army seeks to control. No clashes have been reported yet on the western front.

For his part, the spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, said on “X” that “forces of the 98th Division have completed encircling the town of Bint Jbeil and have begun an attack on it.” He added: “Paratroopers, commando, and Givati Brigade forces, under the command of the 98th Division, continue to expand focused ground activity to strengthen the forward defensive line in southern Lebanon.”

The intensity of clashes in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon, has decreased since Saturday dawn, while the city has been subjected to concentrated shelling from the Dishon positions near the town of Aita al-Shaab and from Israeli artillery positions in the town of Chama, which the Israeli army entered last month.
