Rescue of an F-15 Crew Member

 

In a related context, the American president announced that his country’s forces had successfully rescued a crew member from an F-15 fighter jet who was severely injured deep in the mountains of Iran, noting the pilot’s bravery during the incident.

 

 

Trump told NBC that the operation was extraordinary and extremely difficult, saying, “We have never conducted a rescue mission in such a hostile area due to its intensity; it is usually not attempted because it is considered impossible.”

 

 

The American president stated that the Iranians believed they had captured the pilot, but the reality was different. He confirmed that Iranian forces were conducting an intense search for the American officer in large numbers and were closing in on him, while the United States successfully completed the rescue operation.

 

 

Trump added, “We rarely conduct such operations due to the risks to lives and equipment, but this time we succeeded thanks to meticulous planning and exceptional bravery.”

 

In a significant development in the context of the war in Iran, the United States rescued a pilot whose F-15 aircraft was downed in Iran, in an operation “carried out by a specialized commando unit with heavy air cover,” while all forces withdrew from Iranian territory, according to Axios.
