The names of these bridges emerged after threats by the Israeli army to target them, citing activities it described as related to Hezbollah and the transfer of personnel and combat equipment to southern Lebanon.

Key information about the Sohmor bridge:

⭕ Location: Located in the Western Bekaa region, south of Lake Qaraoun.

⭕ Strategic importance: Connects Sohmor with Mashghara and neighboring villages, shortening travel distance by several kilometers. It is a vital link for the Western Bekaa villages and experiences daily traffic.

Today, the Israeli army urged residents to avoid traveling south and to move north of the Zahrani River, describing these measures as part of efforts to prevent the transfer of reinforcements.

This comes amid rising tensions along Lebanon's southern border, where vital infrastructure such as bridges has gained increased importance for connecting villages and supporting residents’ daily mobility.
