Iran’s Khamenei backs Hezbollah leadership in message highlighting unity and sacrifice

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei sent a message to Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem, expressing his appreciation for the condolences on the martyrdom of the great leader of the Islamic Revolution, and highlighting the feelings of love and loyalty expressed by the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters.

Khamenei stated in his message that “steadfastness and perseverance in the face of the most powerful enemies of the Islamic nation — namely the United States of America and the Zionist entity — are among the most prominent qualities of the martyred leader Imam.”

He also emphasized the continuation of the path of resistance throughout this leader’s years of leadership, noting the offering of esteemed martyrs such as Qasem Soleimani and other senior commanders in the Revolutionary Guard and the army as evidence of the credibility of this approach.

He affirmed that “the history of Islamic resistance is full of struggle, bravery, and sacrifice, with its leaders giving their lives in defense of the nation without fear of any threat.” He added that Hezbollah leaders — from the martyr Sheikh Ragheb Harb and Sayyid Abbas Al-Mousawi to Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyid Hashem Safieddine — have been true models of this steadfast path.

Khamenei addressed the Secretary General of Hezbollah, stating that he “leads the movement today at this pivotal moment in the history of resistance,” expressing his confidence in his wisdom, intelligence, and courage to thwart and defeat the Zionist enemy’s plans and restore pride and prosperity to the Lebanese people.

He concluded his message by emphasizing that “the fixed policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following in the footsteps of the late Imam and martyred leader, continues to support resistance against the Zionist and American enemy,” and expressed his wishes for success to all the "brothers in the resistance".
