Lebanese Army responds to Israeli border strikes with strategic redeployments
The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Guidance announced in a statement: “As a result of the escalation of Israeli aggression against Lebanon, particularly in areas experiencing hostile incursions around southern border towns, which has led to the encirclement and isolation of deployed army units and the disruption of their supply lines, the army carried out a repositioning and redeployment operation involving several of these units.”
The command indicated that it “continues to support the residents, within available means, by maintaining a contingent of military personnel in those towns.”

It added, “As Israeli attacks continue indiscriminately between military and civilian areas, the Lebanese Army Command emphasizes the danger of incitement and of questioning the role of the military institution by certain media outlets and social media platforms, as well as the negative impact this has on residents and internal tensions, while the institution makes every effort to fulfill its duties within available means, amid the significant pressures and challenges arising from the current delicate circumstances.”
