Under the agreement… the Syrian army begins deployment operations in the Jazira region

Following an agreement between Damascus and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Syrian army units begin phased deployments across the Jazira region to secure key strategic sites.

The Operations Directorate of the Syrian Arab Army told SANA that “our forces have begun deployment operations in the Syrian Jazira region to secure it under the agreement between the Syrian state and the SDF.”

It added: “Tishrin Dam and the northern countryside of Raqqa, as well as the western countryside of Hasakah, have been secured so far.”

It continued: “We call on our civilian population to adhere to the instructions issued by army units and to avoid movement in the area except when necessary.”
