After a day of cautious calm, Israeli warplanes carried out two raids on the southern suburbs of Beirut on Saturday evening.

The raids targeted the areas of Bir al-Abed and Haret Hreik.

More casualties

In this context, an Israeli raid on the town of Qantara in southern Lebanon killed a family from the al-Saghir clan—a father, mother, and two children.

The Israeli army launched a raid on Mifdoun, killing four members of the al-Souli family from the town of Taybeh.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health also announced that “the raid carried out by the Israeli enemy on the town of Majdal Selm in the Marjayoun district resulted in one martyr and two injured.”

The Israeli raids targeted the towns of Al-Qulaila, Blat, Khiyam, Taybeh, Majdal Selm, Chaqra, Deir Syriane, Zawtar al-Sharqiah, and Shukin.

Clashes and Hezbollah operations

Meanwhile, an Israeli force attempted to infiltrate the town of Aita al-Shaab, where the sounds of gunfire and artillery shelling were heard, prompting Hezbollah elements to target them with guided missiles.

Hebrew reports spoke of explosions and violent clashes heard along the northern border.

Hezbollah announced clashes with Israeli army forces in the city of Khiyam using weapons and rocket-propelled grenades.

It issued new statements about targeting an Israeli army soldiers’ gathering at the Fatima Gate on the Lebanese border in the town of Kfar Kila with a rocket salvo; an artillery emplacement in the Dishon settlement with a rocket salvo; a soldiers’ gathering on Reservoir Hill in the town of Adaisseh on the Lebanese border for the third time with a rocket salvo; and a soldiers’ gathering at the Fatima Gate in Kfar Kila for the second time with artillery shells.

Hezbollah announced in three previous statements that it targeted two gatherings of Israeli army soldiers around the Khiyam Detention Center and at the Metula site with two rocket salvos, and shot down an armed drone belonging to the enemy army over the town of Sharqieh using appropriate weapons.

Hezbollah also stated that, following surveillance, it targeted an Israeli army force that advanced to Al-Oweida Hill in the town of Adaisseh on the Lebanese border with a guided missile, resulting in confirmed injuries.

A restless night

In this context, the newspaper Yediot Aharonot reported “a restless night in the area of Kiryat Shmona and its surroundings, with loud explosions heard from southern Lebanon.”

Israeli media reported that “about 50 Hezbollah operations have occurred, and the day is not over yet,” noting that “this is the largest number since the start of the previous war and the current conflict combined.”

According to Channel 12, Hezbollah has resumed using “cluster rockets” in the bombardment of the Metula settlement, noting that “this is the second attack of its kind within 14 days.”
