After the Cabinet session today March 2, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam confirmed that “the state rejects any military or security actions launched from Lebanese territory.”
Salam stated, “The council decided on its absolute rejection of any military actions outside legitimate state institutions, emphasizing that the decision of war and peace lies exclusively with the state, which requires confining Hezbollah’s activities and obliging it to surrender its weapons.”
According to the Prime Minister, “what Hezbollah has done constitutes a deviation from the Cabinet's decisions.”
"The request to the army leadership is to firmly commence implementing the Cabinet’s plan regarding disarmament north of the Litani."
