The President of the Lebanese Republic, Joseph Aoun, described the "launching of rockets from Lebanese territory at dawn today as targetting all the efforts and endeavors made by the Lebanese state to keep Lebanon out of dangerous military confrontations." He continued, "we have called for prudence and dealing with them as a national responsibility that prioritizes the supreme national interest over anything else."

He added, that "while we condemn the Israeli attacks on Lebanese territories, we warn that continuing to use Lebanon again as a platform for support of wars unrelated to us will expose our country once more to risks, for which responsibility will be borne by the parties that ignored repeated calls to maintain security and stability in the country. The state will not allow this to be repeated, nor will the Lebanese people accept, as they are still working to heal the wounds caused by previous confrontations."
