GCC calls for inclusion in Iran–US talks to safeguard regional stability
On Thursday, the Gulf Cooperation Council stressed the importance of involving the Gulf states in any talks between Iran and the United States to end the war in the Middle East.
Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, said in a televised speech: "We emphasize the necessity of involving the GCC countries in any negotiations or agreements to resolve this crisis, as this would help enhance their security and stability and prevent such aggressions from recurring."
He also pointed out that Iran had closed the Strait of Hormuz, prevented the passage of commercial ships and oil tankers, and imposed transit fees—describing this as a flagrant violation.

AlBudaiwi also revealed that Iran had directed around 85% of its missiles toward Gulf states, stressing that its behavior in the region has exceeded all limits.
He stated that the Gulf states have exercised the highest levels of restraint in response to Iranian aggressions, choosing not to retaliate in order to avoid escalating the conflict.
