Israeli Forces Launch Cross Border Operation from Mount Hermon into South Lebanon
Elite Mountain Commandos target terrorist positions in rugged terrain, gathering intelligence and exposing militant infrastructure along the volatile Israel-Lebanon frontier.
The Israeli army announced a cross-border operation from Mount Hermon in Syria into southern Lebanon.

According to a statement by the Israeli army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee: "Forces from the Alpinists Unit, under the command of the Mountain Brigade (810), carried out a special operation to prevent terrorist organizations from establishing positions in the border area with Lebanon."
He continued: "As part of the operation, the forces operated in complex mountainous terrain, crossing the border by climbing through the snow from Mount Hermon on the Syrian side to the Jabal Russ (Har Dov) area in southern Lebanon, with the aim of sweeping the area, gathering intelligence, and exposing terrorist infrastructure in the region, using the unique capabilities and tools of the Mountain Commando Unit."

Adraee added: "Forces of the 210th Division continue their deployment in the region to ensure the security of the citizens of the State of Israel, particularly those in the north."
