Hali Rahbani, the youngest son of Fairuz, passed away after a life marked by severe health and humanitarian challenges. He lived away from the limelight, in the shadow of a mother who chose to be his constant embrace and safe haven until his final moment.

Born in 1958, Hali suffered from mental and motor disabilities at a time when medical expectations offered little hope for his survival. Yet what those reports failed to account for was the power of motherhood. Fairuz, with her well-known silence and deep loyalty, made his care a personal mission and his existence an absolute priority. He grew up to the rhythm of a love that is neither measured nor proclaimed.

Hali never knew fame, nor did his name belong to the artistic scene, but he remained a powerful presence in Fairuz’s humanitarian story - another facet of the mother who sang for peace and tenderness and lived those values every day inside her home. A few images that surfaced in recent years revealed part of this exceptional bond, confirming that isolation was not absence, but a choice rooted in protection and dignity.

Amid this grief, the last photo published by Reema Rahbani brought Ziad and Hali together in a frame that seemed to say everything - a moment that captured brotherhood, loss, and the memory of a home that lived love in silence. The image reflected, in its depth, Fairuz the mother: gathering her children under her wing no matter how harsh the circumstances, bearing their pain with unseen patience.

This loss adds another wound to Fairuz’s heart, just months after her farewell to her eldest son, Ziad Rahbani - the rebellious artist and musician - and years after the early loss of her daughter, Layal. Today, Reema remains beside her mother, witnessing the story of a woman who knew glory, but also knew loss in its most unforgiving form.

Hali departed as he lived - quietly - leaving behind a story of rare maternal devotion and a new ache in the heart of a voice that spent a lifetime healing others.
