UAE Plans to Produce 60 Trillion AI Tokens
The United Arab Emirates has announced plans to produce 60 trillion artificial intelligence tokens through its massive Stargate data center, as part of its efforts to become a global hub for this technology, according to the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications.

Omar Al Olama explained at the Milken Middle East and Africa Summit in Abu Dhabi that this number represents about 60% of global production and forms a fundamental pillar in the UAE's ambitions to be the 'world's AI factory.'
In AI, tokens are the basic unit for calculating text length, including punctuation marks and spaces, and they vary from language to language. The more tokens available, the more accurate the generated outcomes.
The UAE is increasingly making its presence felt in the AI industry by establishing extensive data complexes and attracting global investment, in a move aligned with its plans to diversify income sources and enhance its digital capabilities.
Abu Dhabi is currently developing one of the largest AI complexes in the world, spanning an area equivalent to a quarter of Paris, and housing data centers with a capacity of five gigawatts, making it the largest facility of its kind outside the United States.
