Iranian murals issue direct threats against Trump and US officials
Massive murals displayed in Iran feature images of Donald Trump and his family in coffins, along with messages interpreted as threats of revenge and assassination.
Iran sent very strong and dangerous messages to the United States, US President Donald Trump, and American officials alongside him. Huge murals containing clear threats of assassination spread across Iran’s main squares, days after the death of US Senator Lindsey Graham, a hardline critic of Iran and Russia and a close ally of Trump. His death sparked many doubts and speculation, despite the announcement that he died due to illness.
Trump in a coffin
In the first mural displayed in Tehran, Trump is shown lying in a coffin, with the phrase “We kill Trump” written in Persian. This mural carried a direct threat to kill the US president.

Claiming responsibility for Graham’s assassination?
The second mural was red and carried the phrase: “Who is next?”, accompanied by the hashtag “Lindsey Graham”. This mural raised the possibility that Iran was claiming responsibility for Graham’s assassination. However, what was also striking about the mural was the prominent presence of the letters D and T, which are a reference to the first two letters of Donald Trump’s name.

Trump and his family in coffins
In the third mural, the White House is shown on fire, while Trump and members of his family are depicted in coffins, alongside the phrase “Blood for blood” written in Persian.
