Lebanese delegation visits Doha to offer condolences on Sheikh Hamad's passing

A Lebanese ministerial delegation headed by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam arrived in Qatar to pay tribute to the former Emir, amid an official mourning period declared across Lebanon.

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, at the head of a ministerial delegation including Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri, Minister of Finance Yassin Jaber, and Minister of Justice Adel Nassar, to offer condolences over the passing of former Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

 

He was received upon arrival at Doha Airport by Qatari Minister of Transport Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani.

Lowering of Lebanese Flags at Baabda Palace and Government Headquarters in Mourning 

 

Meanwhile, Lebanese flags were lowered at Baabda Palace and the Government Headquarters in Mourning, in accordance with the official mourning declared by Lebanon following the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

 

The official mourning period in Lebanon will continue until Wednesday, inclusive.
