Emirati businessman Khalaf Al Habtoor announced on Friday that he would provide a special gift to members of the Egyptian national team delegation participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, in recognition of the historic achievement accomplished by the “Pharaohs” during the tournament.

Al Habtoor said through his official account on the “Facebook” platform that the Al Habtoor Group had contacted the Egyptian Football Association, and an agreement was reached to gift a Mitsubishi car to every member of the Egyptian national team delegation, celebrating the team’s outstanding performance at the World Cup.

He explained that the initiative includes all members of the delegation, including players, coaching staff, administrative staff, and medical staff, stressing that achievements can only be achieved through collective effort and the cooperation of all members of the team’s system.

The Emirati businessman emphasized that what the Egyptian national team achieved does not represent Egypt alone but is a source of pride for all Arabs. He praised the fighting spirit and determination shown by the players throughout their journey in the tournament.

He said that the Egyptian national team “brought joy to millions and made Egypt proud,” noting that this gift comes as a gesture of appreciation for those who gave Arab fans moments of pride and happiness at the world’s biggest football event.

He also sent a message to the national team players, stressing that faith, teamwork, and fighting until the final whistle are values that create achievements. He expressed his confidence in the ability of Egyptian football to achieve further successes in the future.

The Egyptian national team delegation returned to the country on Friday from the United States after concluding its journey at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Egypt exited the tournament in the Round of 16 following a thrilling 3-2 defeat to Argentina in a match where the team came close to securing a historic upset. Egypt had taken a two-goal lead before the world champions fought back and sealed qualification in the final moments.
