Moroccan fans create noisy night for France before 2026 World Cup quarterfinal clash
Fireworks, chants and a calm security response marked Les Bleus’ final hours before facing Morocco in a highly anticipated battle for a semifinal spot.
The French national team experienced a noisy night in Boston, USA, just hours before facing Morocco in the 2026 World Cup quarterfinals. A group of Moroccan fans gathered near the hotel where Les Bleus were staying, setting off fireworks and chanting.
The gatherings began around 10:30 PM local time, with fireworks being launched from streets near the hotel. Gradually, hundreds of fans moved closer to the French team's residence, accompanied by the sounds of horns and drums.
According to French website RMC, the noise could be heard inside the hotel, disturbing nearby residents as the French players spent their final night before the match.

Calm Security Intervention
As more fans gathered around the hotel, they chanted in hopes of catching a glimpse of the French players.
Security officials assigned to protect Les Bleus intervened and asked the fans to leave. The exchange took place in a calm atmosphere, ending with smiles after some fans began chanting the name of one of the security officials. The crowd then gradually dispersed.
Special Visit from Henry and Gignac
Meanwhile, two former French football stars, Thierry Henry and André-Pierre Gignac, visited the French team.
Henry met with several players, particularly those he had coached during his time with the French Olympic team, while Gignac spoke with members of the delegation before leaving the hotel around midnight.
Gignac also took photos with attendees and gave a thumbs-up gesture, indicating that the atmosphere within the French team was positive ahead of the match.

All eyes are now on the match venue, where both France and Morocco will seek to secure a place in the World Cup semifinals in one of the tournament’s most anticipated encounters.
