Israel prepares for possible renewed Iran conflict as Trump declares ceasefire over
Tel Aviv coordinates with US Central Command amid rising tensions after Washington strikes Iran and Tehran targets American bases in the Gulf.
According to the Israeli website Walla, Tel Aviv is preparing for the possibility of a resumption of fighting with Iran on Wednesday.
The website also reported that the Israeli military held a coordination meeting this week with the US Central Command (CENTCOM) in preparation for a scenario involving renewed clashes.
"The ceasefire has ended"
This comes as US President Donald Trump announced earlier on Wednesday that the ceasefire with Iran had ended, following Washington’s strikes on Iran and Tehran’s announcement that it had targeted US bases in the Gulf.

Trump said during a NATO summit in Ankara, in response to a question about whether the ceasefire with Iran had ended: “For me, it is over,” adding that “dealing with them is simply a waste of time.”
He continued: “They are sick people led by sick people, and they are fierce and violent individuals. If they had a nuclear weapon, they would use it.”
Trump also accused the Iranians of repeatedly distorting what was agreed upon in the memorandum of understanding signed by Washington and Tehran on June 17.
He concluded by saying: “Everyone agrees that they should not have nuclear weapons. We make an agreement, then they go to the press and say that we did not even discuss that. There is something abnormal about them, they are crazy.”
More than 80 targets in Iran
It is worth noting that the United States carried out strikes on Tuesday against more than 80 targets in Iran in response to Iranian attacks targeting commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
Tehran then announced today that it had attacked US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain in retaliation for Washington’s strikes.
The United States also cancelled the temporary lifting of sanctions on Iranian oil following the attacks on the ships.
