A delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Defense, headed by the Commander of the Syrian Army’s Border Guard Forces, Brigadier General Hassan Abdul Ghani, visited Iraq, where it held a meeting with the Commander of the Border Forces at the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Mohammed Abdul Wahab Sukkar.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense said on its Telegram channel on Monday that the meeting addressed several shared issues, foremost among them strengthening border control measures, combating smuggling operations, and enhancing the level of coordination between the two sides at all levels.
