Trump says that Iran agreed to nearly all US demands

The US president says released Iranian oil revenues will be used for food purchases, insists the Strait of Hormuz blockade held, and says the conflict was aimed solely at dismantling Iran's nuclear capabilities.

US President Donald Trump announced that Iran has agreed to "almost everything we need," stressing that the released Iranian oil revenues will be used to purchase food rather than rebuild Iran's military.

Trump said the United States will supply Iran exclusively with food through American farmers, explaining that they will provide corn, wheat, and soybeans. He added that Iran "needs food, and we will provide it."

On the military front, Trump asserted that the US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz "was never breached," saying that "no ship was able to reach Iran or break the blockade," and describing it as "an impenetrable wall."

He stressed that the war with Iran was aimed at eliminating its nuclear capabilities, stating that "Iran cannot be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon," and arguing that the confrontation "was not a war per se."

Trump added that the war lasted about four months but was "relatively short" given its objectives.
