Regional condemnation grows over Iranian drone strikes on Bahrain
Multiple Arab states and the Gulf Cooperation Council denounce the attacks as a violation of sovereignty and a threat to regional stability, reaffirming support for Bahrain and calling for accountability and de-escalation efforts.
Iran announced that it struck targets linked to US forces on Saturday in response to American airstrikes on its southern coast, while both sides exchanged accusations of violating the agreement signed this month aimed at ending the war.
Several countries condemned the new Iranian bombardment.
Bahrain
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it strongly condemns the targeting of its territory at dawn by several Iranian drones, describing it as a blatant violation of its sovereignty, a clear threat to the safety of citizens and residents, and an obvious breach of international norms and conventions that prohibit targeting civilian areas and terrorizing civilians.
It stated in a press release that the continued actions of the Iranian regime, at a time when regional and international efforts are moving toward de-escalation, place the sole responsibility on Tehran for undermining peace efforts and reveal an approach based on destabilizing security, exporting chaos, and undermining regional stability.

It noted that “the Kingdom of Bahrain reserves its full legitimate right to defend its sovereignty, security, and stability in accordance with international law,” and called on the Security Council to “assume its responsibilities in ensuring the implementation of its resolution and holding the aggressor accountable.”
United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned what it described as “the aggressive Iranian attacks that targeted the sister Kingdom of Bahrain with drones.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that “these aggressive attacks represent a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Bahrain and a threat to its security and stability.”
The Ministry also expressed “the UAE’s full solidarity with the sister Kingdom of Bahrain and its support for all measures that ensure its security and stability.”
Kuwait
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of “the sinful Iranian attack on the territory of the sister Kingdom of Bahrain using several drones, in a blatant violation of its sovereignty, and a direct threat to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents, as well as a clear breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.”
It affirmed that “the continuation of these attacks, amid regional and international efforts aimed at de-escalation and reducing tensions, represents a serious undermining of peace and stability efforts, and a threat to the security and stability of the region.”
It reiterated “Kuwait’s firm position in support of the security and stability of the sister Kingdom of Bahrain, and its full standing alongside it in all measures it takes to protect its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.”
Egypt
Egypt strongly condemned “the attacks that targeted the sister Kingdom of Bahrain using Iranian drones, considering them a violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty, a threat to its security and stability, and an unacceptable escalation that undermines efforts to reduce tensions in the region.”
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that “these attacks come at a time when regional efforts are moving forward to consolidate a path of de-escalation and stability, which requires refraining from any actions that could inflame tensions or undermine efforts aimed at strengthening regional security and peace.”
Egypt also renewed “its full solidarity with the sister Kingdom of Bahrain and all Arab Gulf states, and its complete support for all measures it takes to preserve its security and stability, affirming that it stands with Bahrain in the face of anything that threatens its security and territorial integrity.”
Gulf Cooperation Council
The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohammed Al Budaiwi, expressed his strongest condemnation and denunciation of “Iran’s treacherous attacks using several drones against the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
He noted that “the continued targeting by the Iranian regime of civilian facilities and critical infrastructure, amid international and regional efforts aimed at consolidating security and peace and resolving the crisis, confirms its desire to undermine initiatives aimed at containing the crisis and obstruct all efforts seeking to achieve security and stability in the region.”
He also affirmed “the Gulf Cooperation Council’s support for all measures taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to strengthen its security, safeguard its sovereignty, and preserve its territorial integrity.”
