US Strikes on Iran After Strait of Hormuz Attack, Revolutionary Guard Responds
In response to Iran targeting the container ship "MV Ever Lovely" flying the Singaporean flag with a suicide drone, while the ship was leaving the strait off the coast of Oman.
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that on June 26, it carried out strikes against Iranian targets in a "firm response to the attack on a commercial ship that was crossing the Strait of Hormuz yesterday."

The statement explained that American aircraft targeted Iranian missile and drone storage sites, as well as coastal radar sites, after Iran on June 25 targeted the container ship "MV Ever Lovely" flying the flag of Singapore with a suicide drone, while the ship was leaving the strait off the coast of Oman.
CENTCOM stated that this unjustified aggression by Iranian forces on commercial shipping constitutes a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement, and that the dangerous Iranian behavior undermines freedom of navigation at a time when the flow of trade through this vital international trade lane is increasing.
The statement confirmed that CENTCOM forces continue to provide coordination and support for the crossing of commercial vessels through the strait, stressing that the American military presence remains ready and vigilant to ensure full compliance with all terms of the agreement with Iran and its full and effective implementation.
Have the Attacks Ended?
Following the airstrikes, an American official told "Fox News" that "US strikes on Iranian targets are still ongoing." However, about an hour later, "Fox News" and "CNN" reported from American officials that the US military strikes targeting Iran had ended for the night.

Iranian state television announced the sound of three explosions at the Tahranwi pier in the southern city of Sirik, and the targeting of a communication tower in the Sirik area with two projectiles.
Meanwhile, US Vice President J.D. Vance warned that the United States would respond to any attack by Iran with "violence."
He wrote on "X": "Iran signed a ceasefire agreement. We adhered to it. If they have disagreements about how to implement the memorandum of understanding, they can call. But violence will only beget violence."
Earlier, US President Donald Trump described the Iranian attack on ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz as a "reckless violation" of the ceasefire agreement reached, confirming that this act represents a clear breach of the existing agreement between the parties.
Revolutionary Guard
On its part, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it targeted several sites where the American military is deployed in the region.
In a statement, it said: "According to Article 5 of the memorandum of understanding, Islamabad has arrangements to regulate navigation in the Strait of Hormuz with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
However, the United States, inciting various parties, sought to violate this commitment, and the necessary response has been taken, and I will continue to do so," warning that "if aggression recurs, our response will be broader."
