Fight Night by the Sea brings historic boxing event to Lebanon’s coast

First-ever seaside professional boxing night in Lebanon to feature 23 bouts, live entertainment, and official federation backing in a two-day sporting showcase.

In a historic event set to take place in Lebanon, a sports event titled Fight Night by the Sea has been announced. It is organized by Cedars Sports Club under the patronage and supervision of the Lebanese Boxing Federation.

 

This event is considered an exceptional sporting occasion, as it is the first boxing evening to be held on the seashore in Lebanon. It will feature the first professional boxing match ever held by the sea in the country, with the participation of professional boxer Elias Farah representing the Lebanese Army, alongside a series of amateur bouts. The event offers a unique experience that combines sport, entertainment, and competition in an exceptional atmosphere along the Lebanese seafront.

 

The founder of Cedars Sports Club and organizer of Fight Night by the Sea, Joseph Mattar, said: “We chose the Lebanese cedar as the symbol of the club because it represents stability, continuity, and belonging, which are the values we seek to strengthen in our sporting work.”

 

He added: “Fight Night by the Sea is not just a boxing evening, but a sports project aimed at offering a new experience and showcasing the true image of Lebanese boxing and the ability of our athletes to compete and develop.”

 

Mattar continued: “For the first time, a professional boxing match will be held on the seashore in Lebanon, a step we consider an important milestone in the development path of professional boxing in Lebanon.”

23 bouts by the sea in Lebanon


The event will take place on July 30 and 31, 2026, bringing together athletes, spectators, and partners in an exceptional event.

 

The competition will feature 23 bouts, bringing together promising athletes and experienced fighters, leading up to the main professional bout, within a comprehensive sports program that has been carefully designed to reflect the level that Lebanese boxing deserves.

 

Entertainment and interactive shows and surprises during the boxing night by the sea

 

In addition to the fights, the event will offer a complete experience for the public over two days. It will include hospitality and entertainment areas, booths, interactive shows, live media coverage, as well as entertainment segments, surprises, and prizes for attendees, in an exceptional atmosphere that combines sport and entertainment along the Lebanese waterfront.

Developing boxing in Lebanon


For his part, the representative of the Lebanese Boxing Federation and head of the Professional Boxing Committee, Ehab Hamdan, said: “After listening to the organizers’ vision and the objectives of this event, I am pleased to confirm our full support for this event, which represents a distinguished milestone in the course of boxing in Lebanon.”

 

He added: “What we are witnessing today is not just the launch of a sporting event, but a new step that reflects the ambition of athletes and organizers to develop this sport and give it the status it deserves.”

 

He continued: “From our position as a federation and a professional committee, we confirm that all bouts will take place according to the approved technical and organizational standards, under the direct supervision of the federation, in order to ensure the safety of the athletes and guarantee the highest sporting standards.”
