Mixed Performance in Arab and Gulf Stock Markets Today

Markets opened with cautious sentiment on June 22, 2026, as geopolitical uncertainty surrounding the Strait of Hormuz weighed on investor confidence despite ongoing US–Iran talks in Switzerland.

Arab and Gulf stock markets showed mixed performance at the start of trading on Monday, June 22, 2026, amid ongoing concerns following the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz despite the start of direct negotiations between the US and Iranian delegations in Switzerland.

 

 

Egyptian Stock Exchange


The EGX 30 index, the main benchmark of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, fell at the opening of Monday’s session by 0.18 percent to reach 52,586 points. Meanwhile, the EGX 70 index, which tracks small and medium sized companies, rose by 0.07 percent to 15,770 points. The broader EGX 100 index also increased by 0.01 percent to 21,589 points during the same period.

 

 

Saudi Tadawul Stock Exchange


The TASI index, the main index of the Saudi Tadawul market, rose at the start of Monday’s session by 0.04 percent to 11,080 points, while the Nomu parallel market index declined by 0.36 percent to 23,118 points during the same period.

 

 

Dubai and Abu Dhabi Stock Markets


The Dubai Financial Market index rose at the opening of Monday’s session by 0.03 percent to 6,165 points. The ADX General Index in the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange increased by 0.32 percent to 10,049 points, while the FADX 15 index climbed by 0.37 percent to 10,578 points during the same period.

 

 

Kuwait Stock Exchange


The Premier Market index in the Kuwait Stock Exchange rose at the start of Monday’s session by 0.19 percent to 9,224 points. The General Market index also increased by 0.17 percent to 8,774 points. The Main Market index rose by 0.06 percent to 8,800 points, while the Main 50 index gained 0.10 percent to 9,753 points during the same period.

 

 

Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman Markets


The Qatar Stock Exchange index rose at the start of Monday’s session by 0.19 percent to 10,500 points. The Bahrain All Share Index increased by 0.07 percent to 2,031 points, while the Amman Stock Exchange index declined by 0.13 percent to 3,952 points during the same period.
