Ceasefire under fire: Israeli airstrikes continue across southern Lebanon and Bekaa
Despite a ceasefire taking effect, Israeli raids and artillery bombardment intensify across southern Lebanon, leaving dozens dead and raising fears of renewed escalation.
Despite the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah taking effect on Friday, Israeli airstrikes and shelling continued to target towns across southern Lebanon.
Israeli warplanes carried out raids on the towns of Kfar Joz, Al-Namiriya, Shukin, and Arabsaleem in the Nabatiyeh district, while also launching a series of airstrikes on the Rihan Heights in the Jezzine district.

At dawn, additional raids targeted the town of Al-Nabatiyeh Al-Fawqa.
Israeli artillery shelling also struck the towns of Kfat Tibnit, Harouf, Kfar Roummane, Kfar Joz, Habboush, Al-Nabatiyeh Al-Fawqa, and Mayfadoun in southern Lebanon.
Meanwhile, reports indicated that Israeli military vehicles advanced from the town of Kfar Tibnit toward Ali Tahir Hill under heavy artillery cover, while Apache helicopters opened fire around the area.

Friday's Raids
On Friday, southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley witnessed one of the most intense waves of shelling in weeks. Israeli airstrikes targeted the towns of Nabatiyeh, Al-Duwair, Al-Sharqiyah, Kfar Sir, Deir al-Zahrani, Rihan, Sajad, and Al-Qatrani, as well as several villages in Iqlim al-Tuffah and Jezzine. Additional raids were reported in Baalbek and the western Bekaa.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health said that 47 people were killed in the Israeli raids.
The ministry also reported that, since March 2, the death toll from the Israeli war has risen to 3,980, while the number of wounded has reached 12,001.
