Intense waves of displacement continue from towns and villages in southern Lebanon, especially from the districts of Tyre and Bint Jbeil, toward Sidon and Beirut, amid the escalation of violent and ongoing Israeli airstrikes on areas in the south as well as the Jezzine district and the Bekaa.

 

 

The northern entrance to the city of Sidon is witnessing severe traffic congestion, especially from vehicles coming from the south, while displacement movements from villages located south and east of the city of Tyre have extended toward areas located south and north of the Litani River.

On the ground, an Israeli drone targeted the town of Burj Qalawiyah in the Bint Jbeil district, coinciding with intense drone activity over the Litani River channel and the Tyre area. A drone also targeted, at dawn today, a motorcycle on the Abbasiyeh road at the Hamadiyeh junction near Farrouj Roumieh, resulting in one death.

In the Bekaa, it was reported that an airstrike targeted a building adjacent to Al-Bashaer Secondary School, coinciding with the holding of intermediate certificate exams. The strikes also hit the outskirts of Baalbek, targeting a building in the town of Ain Bourday and a farm in the town of Al-Jamaliya with two missiles, resulting in deaths and injuries.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 18 people were killed and 33 others were injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon.
