The President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, affirmed before the Qatari, French, and British ministerial delegation that “stability and security in Lebanon are important not only for the region but also for Europe, as stability in the region and Europe cannot be achieved without stability in Lebanon.”

Aoun addressed the delegation at Baabda Palace, saying: “Your support for us is extremely important not only on the humanitarian side but also in continuing to support the Lebanese army and security forces because they are the guarantors of security and stability for Lebanon to revive and embark on the pathway to recovery.”

He also affirmed that “the path of economic, financial, administrative, and judicial reforms is a basic Lebanese demand before it is a demand from Lebanon’s friendly countries, but the war hindered what we had previously launched in terms of reforms immediately after the formation of the government.”

He added: “Lebanon does not need aid but investments, and the Lebanese expatriates will contribute to the revival of their homeland. We must prepare the necessary groundwork for reforms that guarantee this revival and encourage them to return and invest in their country in various fields.”

He also stressed that “what we are doing is restoring foreign confidence in Lebanon, alongside restoring the Lebanese people’s trust in their state.”
