The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that respect for Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity is part of the temporary agreement reached with the United States, stressing that ending the war on various fronts, including Lebanon, is an "unalterable" clause in the memorandum of understanding between the two sides.

The ministry stated that "yesterday's Israeli terrorism in the suburb turned into an opportunity to achieve the highest degree of our interests and those of the resistance," considering that recent developments have not affected the course of the existing understandings. It also noted that Lebanon is mentioned three times in the draft memorandum of understanding.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei said that diplomatic visits to regional countries are on Tehran's agenda ahead of the signing of the agreement, which is scheduled to take place on Friday in Geneva, Switzerland.

He added, "Regarding the method and mechanism for signing the memorandum of understanding, the final decision will be made today and tomorrow, and the results will be officially announced."

Meanwhile, the Israeli Defense Minister hinted at a response to any Iranian move related to the Lebanese front, saying: "If Iran attacks us concerning Lebanon, we will respond strongly."

These statements come amid anticipation over the implications of the US-Iranian understanding for the region's security situation, particularly in Lebanon, alongside discussions of arrangements aimed at reinforcing the halt in military operations and ending the war on various fronts.
