Anwar Gargash, diplomatic advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, said the region is close to an anticipated agreement between Washington and Tehran that would end the war and open a new political path.

In a post on the platform “X,” Gargash stated: “As we approach the signing of the anticipated agreement between Washington and Tehran, which will put an end to war and open a hopeful and successful political path, we can only commend our wise leadership's handling of this crisis and its repercussions."

He added that the UAE leadership combined in its handling of the crisis “wisdom and steadfastness in positions, and flexibility when the stage required it.”

Gargash stressed that the UAE has never been an advocate of war, emphasizing adherence to the option of peace and stability.

He said: “We have never been advocates of war, and we will always remain advocates of peace and stability, with our steadfast commitment to defending the homeland and preserving its sovereignty and interests.”

Gargash’s statement comes amid regional and international anticipation of the outcomes of ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran, with increasing indications of approaching an understanding aimed at stabilizing calm and paving the way for a new political phase.
