The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported, citing Israeli sources, that Israel will respond if it is attacked by Iran following any strike on the southern suburb of Beirut, stressing that it “will not accept the unification of fronts.”
The sources added, according to the newspaper, that Israel will strike the southern suburb if Hezbollah carries out attacks on towns in northern Israel, considering that any potential Iranian response would constitute a test of the existing understandings in the region.
In a related context, Yedioth Ahronoth reported, citing an informed source, that the information available to Israel indicates that the ongoing agreement between Washington and Tehran includes a ceasefire in Lebanon.
Israeli army calls for the evacuation of 20 towns in southern Lebanon
The Israeli army spokesperson issued an urgent warning to residents of Deir al-Zahrani, Numairiyah, Al-Sharqiyah, Ad Doueir, Harouf, Habbouch, Kfar Joz, Zebdin (Nabatieh), Nabatieh al-Tahta, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Kfar Reman, al-Mahmoudiya, Sajad (Jezzine), al-Rayhan, Aaramta, Kfar Hounah, Mleekh, al-Lwaiza (Jezzine), Jarjouaa, and Arabsalim.
The Israeli Home Front Command announced that air raid sirens were activated in the border town of Metula due to suspicion of a drone infiltration from Lebanese territory.
In addition, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that three rockets were detected being launched from Lebanon toward the settlements of Metula and Misgav Am.

An Israeli drone targeted the town of Maarakah in an airstrike, resulting in one person being killed, according to the National News Agency.
Israeli forces also carried out demolitions at dawn, blowing up several houses and official institutions in the city of Bint Jbeil.
In the Nabatieh district, the National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes carried out three airstrikes last night on the town of Deir al-Zahrani.
