Etihad Airways expands summer network with new european and African destinations
Etihad Airways launches new routes to Krakow, Palma de Mallorca, and Zanzibar, resumes seasonal flights to popular European destinations and Al Alamein, and targets an 8 percent increase in flight capacity this month.
Etihad Airways is launching the summer season with an expanded schedule of seasonal flights and new destinations to Europe and Africa, including the introduction of routes to Krakow, Palma de Mallorca, and Zanzibar, as well as the resumption of flights to Malaga, Mykonos, Santorini, Nice, and Al Alamein.
The Emirati carrier will begin operating flights to Krakow, Palma de Mallorca, and Zanzibar this week, while services to Malaga, Mykonos, Santorini, and Nice will resume gradually starting from mid-June. Al Alamein in Egypt will be added back to the network starting July 16.
At the same time, the airline aims to restore its capacity levels to prewar levels during the current month, with plans to increase its number of flights by around 8 percent by mid-month compared to the same period last year.
The company said these steps are part of a broader strategy focused on improving operational efficiency and increasing load factors, alongside fleet expansion and preparing for the expected growth in travel demand in the coming period.
