Saudi Arabia moves to resume Lebanese exports amid renewed cooperation with Beirut
Lebanese officials welcome the decision as a boost for the economy and a sign of renewed confidence in state institutions, while both sides emphasize strengthened bilateral ties and future coordination.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a phone call today with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, during which he conveyed instructions from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to resume Lebanese exports to the Kingdom.
This comes following a request from Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and the Prime Minister, and in line with the positive steps taken by the Lebanese government on the path of rebuilding state institutions, as well as what the specialized teams accomplished throughout the past year, and the Lebanese side’s cooperation with them and its provision of the required commitments, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The Saudi Foreign Minister affirmed during the call the Kingdom’s support for Lebanon’s stability, its sovereignty over all its territory, and the well-being of its people.
He also expressed the Kingdom’s confidence that Lebanon’s brothers will take all necessary measures to ensure that Lebanon is not used as a platform to harm its brothers.

Aoun: "The entire Lebanese people deeply appreciate this decision"
He expressed his strong gratitude and appreciation to the Crown Prince for his decision to resume importing Lebanese products into the Kingdom, saying that this decision reflects a sincere expression of the deep Arab brotherhood that unites the two brotherly countries, and embodies the commitment of the Saudi leadership to supporting Lebanon and its people during the phase of recovery and rebuilding it is going through.
He also thanked Prince Mohammed bin Salman in a post on the platform X for the “generous decision to lift the ban on Lebanese exports,” which he said reflects the depth of the fraternal and historical relations between the two brotherly countries.
