Restrictions on strikes on Beirut

In a related context, Israeli Army Radio reported, citing Settlement Minister Orit Strook, that Israel has restrictions on conducting strikes in Beirut, but not on operations in southern Lebanon.

Strock added that if Hezbollah fires, Israel will respond painfully and it will realize that this is not in its interest.

The Israeli newspaper Maariv quoted a military source as saying that if it becomes necessary to attack Lebanon or the southern suburb now, they will do so.
