Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that Israel exercises 'the right to defend itself' whenever 'necessary', following his order for strikes on Iran in response to its missile launches towards his country, despite public objections from U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a televised speech, Netanyahu said: 'Israel has the full right to defend itself, and we exercise this right whenever necessary. I tell you this, as I say with full appreciation and respect in my fruitful dialogues with my friend President Trump.'
