UAE experts program launches AI track to shape next generation of national talent
New initiative aligned with UAE AI Strategy 2031 aims to accelerate government transformation and build future-ready AI leadership across key sectors.
If the UAE has succeeded in establishing its presence as an influential player on the global artificial intelligence scene in recent years, the next phase appears to be more closely linked to building the minds that will lead and expand this presence.
Accordingly, efforts continue to prepare national talent with the knowledge and experience needed to translate strategic ambitions into practical applications that enhance the country’s competitiveness and future leadership.
In this context, the "UAE Experts" program is preparing to launch the "Artificial Intelligence Track" this June, in alignment with the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which aims to integrate AI solutions across various government processes and key strategic sectors.
The track supports five main objectives within the national strategy: strengthening the UAE’s position as a global hub for artificial intelligence, enhancing competitiveness in vital sectors through expanded AI applications, accelerating adoption in government services, developing national capabilities to fill AI-dependent roles, and linking advanced research and infrastructure with practical implementation.
It is set to include selected national cadres across 25 vital sectors, with participants engaging in intensive training in areas such as AI systems, governance, and leadership, in addition to participating in international study trips and working on capstone projects designed to address real national challenges under direct mentorship.

The launch of this track within the "UAE Experts" program coincides with the announcement of the new UAE government system, which aims to transition 50% of government sectors, services, and processes toward self-executing and self-managing AI models within two years.
The selection phases for participants have demonstrated a high level of knowledge of the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, along with a growing understanding of the importance of moving beyond technology adoption toward the practical application of AI within institutions, reflecting increasing national awareness of this transformation and its role in supporting future development.
