Design of the 2026 World Cup ball

The 2026 World Cup ball is made up of four layers, with smooth external patterns inspired by the idea of “waves,” which is connected to the name “TRIONDA.” These lines meet to form a triangular shape at the center of the ball, symbolizing the unity of the host countries.

The official 2026 World Cup ball also features symbols specific to each country, such as the maple leaf for Canada, the eagle for Mexico, and the star for the United States.

Features of the 2026 World Cup ball

“TRIONDA” features advanced internal technology capable of tracking the ball’s movement at a very high speed of up to 500 Hz, allowing it to send real time data to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system. This helps make more accurate decisions, especially in offside situations.

The 2026 World Cup will include 104 matches, with 48 national teams participating across 16 host cities distributed over three countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
