On Thursday, the Lebanese Army advanced into the town of Dibbin in southern Lebanon following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area, according to field information.

 

This development comes as part of the army’s redeployment in a number of towns in the south.

 

 

 

 

Israel and Lebanon announced on Wednesday that they had agreed to implement a ceasefire and to establish experimental zones that would be under the control of the Lebanese Army, according to a joint statement issued after two days of talks between the two sides in Washington.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Wednesday that US President Donald Trump shares his goal of disarming Hezbollah and making Lebanon demilitarized in preparation for achieving peace between the two countries.
