Lebanese army advances in south Lebanon as ceasefire and security arrangements take shape
Israeli withdrawal from southern towns coincides with new understandings on ceasefire implementation and security zones under Lebanese Army control.
On Thursday, the Lebanese Army advanced into the town of Dibbin in southern Lebanon following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area, according to field information.
This development comes as part of the army’s redeployment in a number of towns in the south.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Wednesday that US President Donald Trump shares his goal of disarming Hezbollah and making Lebanon demilitarized in preparation for achieving peace between the two countries.
