Annahar colleague Ahmad Mantash documented the traces of destruction in the inhabited residential apartment located in the Algeria building in the Qiyaa neighborhood in the city of Sidon in southern Lebanon on the Qanaia Al Nafa’a road, which was targeted by an Israeli drone that fired a missile at around two o’clock at dawn today, Thursday.

The strike completely destroyed the apartment, caused structural cracks in the apartment on the second floor, and led to severe damage in all the apartments in the five-story building.

Several homes facing the apartment were also damaged, especially the home of colleague Ahmed Al Gharbi, advisor to the Press Syndicate in Sidon and the South, who told Annahar that the neighborhood is a fully residential area, noting that a fragment hit his bedroom and his car was damaged.

The raid resulted in two fatalities: Dalal Al Safadi from Sidon and a displaced woman from the Tyre area, as well as a third person from the Zaidan family. It was reported that he is the brother of Salah Zaidan, who was killed in the strike that targeted the Mashari’ Al-Hibah on the Mieh Mieh road more than two months ago. Several residents of the building were also injured with varying degrees of wounds.

Since the morning hours, a vehicle from the Sidon municipality has been working to open the road and remove debris from the site.
