Israeli strikes hit Tyre, Sidon and Nabatieh areas amid expanding evacuations and rising displacement in southern Lebanon
Fears of a wider ground offensive grow as Israeli airstrikes intensify across southern Lebanon and mass evacuation orders drive a rapidly worsening humanitarian crisis
Escalation has intensified in recent hours ahead of a new round of direct Lebanese Israeli negotiations under US sponsorship in Washington, amid field reports warning of possible further Israeli ground incursions and growing fears that Israel may seize control of Nabatieh and evacuate it, along with the city of Tyre and the entire area south of the Zahrani River.
In the latest field developments, the Israeli army spokesperson issued several warnings targeting residents of Zaqouq al Mefdi, residents of Tyre, and residents across southern Lebanon, instructing them to evacuate to areas north of the Zahrani River. Yesterday, the Israeli army had also called on residents of Tyre, as well as nearby camps and surrounding neighborhoods, to evacuate.

In Sidon, an apartment in the Qiaa area was targeted, and reports indicated that several casualties had fallen.
A vehicle was also targeted on the Adlun highway near the shrine of Prophet Sari.
As the pace of the war intensifies and evacuation operations expand, the displacement crisis is worsening day after day amid harsh living conditions weighing heavily on displaced families. Between the search for safety and the struggle to secure the most basic necessities of life, the humanitarian situation in Lebanon continues to face mounting challenges that deepen the suffering of citizens and open the door to further social and economic pressures.
