At dawn today, the sacred site of Mina received the first groups of pilgrims arriving from Muzdalifah to perform the ritual of stoning the Jamarat at the Jamarat al Aqaba, marking the first day of Eid al Adha. This took place amid an integrated system of security, organizational, and health services provided by the relevant authorities to serve the guests of God and facilitate the performance of their rituals in an atmosphere of reassurance and peace.

The Jamarat facility witnessed smooth and efficient crowd movement, thanks to direct field monitoring by various concerned entities, which worked on organizing pedestrian routes and managing the flow of pilgrims according to precise operational plans that take into account population density and ensure safe movement between the holy sites.

Service agencies mobilized all their resources in the vicinity of the Jamarat facility by intensifying emergency and medical teams, deploying guidance and awareness teams, and enhancing cleaning and environmental sanitation efforts, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for pilgrims while performing their rituals.

In addition, the shuttle transportation system and the Mashaer Holy Sites Train continued transporting pilgrims between the holy sites according to flexible operational schedules. This contributed to facilitating movement and reducing travel time, in coordination with traffic plans and crowd management strategies.

The stoning of the Jamarat al Aqaba follows the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, after the standing at Arafat and the overnight stay in Muzdalifah. Pilgrims then continue the remaining rituals of the Day of Sacrifice, which include offering the sacrificial animal, shaving or shortening the hair, and performing the Tawaf al Ifadah.
