Derby County Opens Doors to Turki Al-Sheikh's Investment
David Clowes saved Derby County from bankruptcy in 2022, and since then he has held talks with several investors from around the world to provide additional capital to help the club achieve financial stability and strengthen its sporting ambitions.
Clowes has also previously expressed his willingness to sell up to 80% of his stake to a suitable investor, while expressing his desire to remain as chairman of the board if any agreement is reached.
Turki Al-Sheikh's Previous Experience in Sports Investment
The exact role Turki Al-Sheikh might play in the upcoming deal remains unclear, but he has prior experience in the sports sector through his involvement in several football projects and investments in Spain and Egypt.
The negotiations remain under study, awaiting the outcome of discussions and regulatory approvals in the coming period.
