Iran, US, Israel tensions escalate as diplomatic efforts continue amid warnings of possible military action
Regional diplomacy intensifies between Iran, Pakistan, and the United States as reports point to possible Israeli and American military escalation alongside ongoing strikes in Lebanon and heightened regional alert levels.
Israeli Channel 12 reported that "military leaders are demanding that the political leadership determine its position between an agreement with Lebanon or expanding freedom of military action".
The channel said that there are Israeli assessments that negotiations regarding Iran will not lead to an agreement and that the military option will be implemented.
It added: "The security establishment is preparing for the possibility that Trump will issue a decision to carry out military action against Iran in the coming days, and that the Israeli army is declaring maximum alert in anticipation of a possible escalation with Iran".

It added: "Israeli officials confirm the existence of an understanding with Washington not to allow Iran to retain uranium enrichment capabilities, and Israel is closely monitoring a draft US Iranian agreement and fears granting Tehran sanctions relief without addressing the nuclear issue."
Expansion of operations in Lebanon
Israel carried out overnight strikes on eastern Lebanon and issued warnings to evacuate residential areas despite the declared ceasefire.
A series of strikes shortly before midnight from Friday to Saturday targeted the outskirts of the town of Brital in the eastern mountain range on the Syrian border, in an area that had been spared Israeli air raids since the ceasefire took effect on 17 April.
Earlier, the Israeli army issued an evacuation warning for two buildings in the Tyre area in preparation for their bombing, claiming that Hezbollah was using them, before the buildings were struck in Tyre, the largest city in southern Lebanon, which has been repeatedly hit by Israeli strikes.
The Israeli air force carried out raids targeting the towns of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, al-Ghandouriya, Debbin, Nabatieh, Frun, Kfara, al-Mansouri, Sarifa, Kfar Tebnit, between Kfara and Yater, Baraashit, Haris, Hadatha, Rashaf, Touline, Qabrikha, Yater, Souaneh, al-Marwaniya, and Shehour in southern Lebanon.
Israeli artillery shelling also hit Yohmor al-Shaqif, al-Haniyeh, the outskirts of Buyout al Siyad, Wadi al-Hujayr, Aadshit, Tebnin, and Zawtar al-Sharqiya.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the Israeli war since March 2 until May 22 has risen to 3,111, with 9,432 people injured.
